Press Release:

Olympic star Cindy Ngamba has signed a multi-fight promotional deal with BOXXER and will make her professional debut as part of a historic all-women’s boxing event at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday, March 7th, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and Peacock in the USA.

Ngamba made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics by becoming the first ever athlete to win a medal for the Refugee Team. The 26-year-old beat reigning world champion Tamara Thibeault in her opening bout before defeating French boxer Davina Michel to secure her place on the podium and in the history books.

Ngamba’s achievements in the ring have made her an inspiration to many around the world. Born in Cameroon, she moved to the UK when she was 10 years old. Ngamba started boxing aged 15 at Bolton’s Elite Boxing Gym.

As an amateur, Ngamba won national titles in three different weight classes, becoming the first boxer to do so since BOXXER stablemate Natasha Jonas.

Without a British passport, Ngamba was unable to compete for Team GB but became the first female to qualify for the Refugee Team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the first ever athlete to medal.

Having joined forces with BOXXER, Ngamba will fight live and exclusively on Sky Sports, the UK’s leading sports broadcaster, and joins a world-class stable of fighters featuring world champions, Olympic medallists and unbeaten contenders.

Fighters under the BOXXER banner include Natasha Jonas, Lauren Price, Chris Eubank Jr, Joshua Buatsi, Ben Whittaker, Caroline Dubois, Chris Billam-Smith, Adam Azim, Frazer Clarke, Viddal Riley, Callum Simpson and Karriss Artingstall.

Ngamba will make her professional debut as part of BOXXER’s historic all-women’s world championship boxing event on Friday, 7th March at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London.

Headlined by a thrilling all-British world welterweight title unification bout between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price, this landmark event will be broadcast live by Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and takes place as a curtain-raiser to the International Women’s Day 2025 global campaign the following day.
