With the postponement of the Light Heavyweight Undisputed fight between Unified Champion Artur Beterbiev (WBO, WBC & IBF) and WBA Champion Dmitry Bivol, the WBO has ordered negotiations for Joshua Buatsi and Anthony Yarde to fight for the vacant WBO interim title.
Both parties as 10 days to negotiate deal. If a deal is not reached in period, a purse bid will be ordered. The minimum bid is 300,000.
Buatsi 31, is undefeated with a record of 18-0 13 KO's defeated friend an top 10 contender Dan Azeez in February by unanimous decision. Ben Shalom of Boxxer will represent Buatsi in negotiations for the WBO interim title.
Yarde 32, 25-3 24KOs, is two time world title challenger against Sergey Kovalev in 2019 and Artur Beterbiev in 2023 in valiant efforts. Yarde is on two fight winning streak since the Beterbiev loss.
