Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price Welterweight Unification Is Set For March 7th

Press Release:

BOXXER has today announced a historic all-women’s world championship boxing event on Friday, 7th March at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Headlined by a thrilling all-British world title unification bout, this landmark event will be broadcast live by Sky Sports and takes place as a curtain-raiser to the International Women’s Day 2025 global campaign the following day.

Billed as Unstoppable, the event will be headlined by an epic world welterweight division unification match-up between Liverpool’s new WBC and IBF World Champion, Natasha Jonas (16-2-1, 9 KOs) and Cardiff’s Lauren Price MBE (8-0, 2 KOs).

Price successfully defended her WBA, IBO and Ring Magazine world championships for the first time on Saturday night in Liverpool with a spectacular stoppage victory over the previously unbeaten Bexcy Mateus. Jonas added the WBC title to her IBF belt, becoming a two-weight unified world champion, in her hometown headline fight against Ivana Habazin.

A pioneer in women’s boxing, Jonas was the first woman to represent Great Britain in the ring when she competed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, while Price wrote her name in the record books at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games becoming the first Welsh boxer to win Olympic gold and only the second ever female boxer from Great Britain.
