Former world champion Tevin 'American Idol' Farmer (30-5-1 6KOs) will end a 41 month layoff on June 24th as he faces Avery Sparrow (11-4 4KOs) in a all Philadelphia bout. This lightweight contest will be held at the famed 2300 Arena in Philly.
Farmer 32, was last seen the ring on January 30th 2020. He lost his IBF Super Featherweight World Title to JoJo Diaz by unanimous decision. Since the fight, Farmer has been managing his many business ventures outside of the ring. Over the past year, Farmer was set to face Mickey Bey twice with both fight dates canceled due to various reasons.
Sparrow 29, is coming off an unanimous decision lost to prospect William Foster III in July 2022. Sparrow and Farmer are very familiar with each other coming up the ranks in Philadelphia. This should be an interesting fight.
