Undisputed Champion Jermell Charlo Will Be Stripped of His WBO Title After His 9/30 Bout Concludes

The WBO has issued a resolution for the Undisputed Champion Jermell Charlo (35-1-1 19KOs) ahead of his showdown with fellow Undisputed Champion Canelo (59-2-2 39KOs)Alvarez on September 30th in Las Vegas.

Charlo 33, will be allowed to enter the fight as Undisputed Champion but will be immediately stripped of the WBO title at the conclusion of the fight. Tim Tszyu (23-0 17KOs) the current WBO Interim Champion will be elevated as full WBO Junior Middleweight Champion.
