Unified Champion Evelin Bermudez Will Defend Her Titles Against Kim Clavel on October 7th

GYM Promotions has announced that Evelin Bermudez (18-1-1 6KOs) will defend her Light Flyweight WBO & IBF titles against former champion Kim Clavel (17-1 3KOs) on October 7th in Laval, Québec, Canada. There no US TV announced for this event as of today.


Bermudez 26, regained her unified titles against Tania Enriquez by unanimous decision in March. Bermudez lost her titles to Yokasta Valle in a battle of two Unifed Champions in November 2022. Valle has since vacated her Light Flyweight titles to moved back down to Minimumweight where she is the Unifed WBO & IBF champion.


Clavel 32, the former WBC Light Flyweight Champion, lost her title in a unification bout against the current WBA & WBC Light Flyweight Champion Yesica Plata by a competitive unanimous decision in January 2023. Clavel got back to her winning ways when she defeated the highly regarded Naomi Arellano Reyes by unanimous decision in May 2023.


Big fights loomed for winner of Bermudez/Clavel. We could see a undisputed showdown with Yesica Plata or fights with both unifed Minimumweight Champion Seniesa Estrada and Yokasta Valle.
