WBC Approves Bohachuk-Fundora To Fight For the Vacant WBC Super Welterweight Title; Jermell Charlo Named Champion In Recess

The WBC voted in favor to place WBC Superwelterweight champion, Jermell Champion in “ Champion in recess “ status after analizyng the specific circumstances in the division. Jermell last fight was in the Super Middleweight division and there is no certainty that he will return to fight in the Super Welterweight one.

The WBC hereby confirms the upcoming fight for the WBC Super Welterweight Championship between Serhii Bohachuk, current WBC Continental Americas champion and former WBC interim champion Sebastian Fundora.

Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora and Serhii Bohachuk will meet in the pay-per-view opener for Tszyu-Thurman on the PBC's inaugural Amazon Prime show.
