Katie Taylor (23-1 6 KOs) reign as a double undisputed champion in the Lightweight and Junior Welterweight will come to an end in a matter of days. WBO has issued a Show Cause Letter to Team Taylor to confirm which WBO title she like to defend moving forward.
Taylor defeated Chantelle Cameron (18-1 8KOs) in a highly contested rematch on November 25th to become the Undisputed Junior Welterweight Champion. Cameron defeated Taylor on points in the first fight in May 2023.
Per WBO a Champion cannot hold two WBO titles simultaneously. Taylor will have 10 days to inform the WBO on which division she wants continue to be Champion.
