WBO Orders Chris Billam-Smith vs Richard Riakporhe For Junior Heavyweight Title In Rematch

Chris Billam-Smith (19-1 13 KOs) has a chance to avenge his only professional loss against Richard Riakporhe (17-0 13 KOs). WBO has order CBS-Riakporhe rematch for the Billam-Smith's junior heavyweight title.

Billam-Smith defeated Lawrence Okolie in May 2023 for the WBO title in a foul-fill contest. CBS first title defense was against Mateusz Masternak in December 2023. Masternak surprising retired after the eight round were he was up on the cards.

Riakporhe had two big knockout victories in 2023. Former world champion Krzysztof Glowacki was stopped in the fourth round in January 2023. Riakporhe finished off his 2023 campaign with second round stoppage over Dylan Bregeon in November 2023.

CBS-Riakporhe should be an easy fight to make because both fighters are signed with Ben Shalom's BOXXER promotion.
