WBO Will Honor Champions Teofimo Lopez and Oscar Collazo July 2nd

New WBO Champions Teofimo Lopez (19-1 13KOs) and Oscar Collazo (7-0 5KOs) will be honored and presented with brand new WBO belts on July 2nd in Puerto Rico.


Lopez 25, became a 2 division World Champion on June 10th by defeating Josh Taylor by a wide unanimous decision to become the WBO Junior Welterweight Champion. After fight Lopez announced his retirement in the post fight interview. He doubled down on this claim by texting WBO President Francisco 'Paco' Valcarcel a few days to confirm his official retirement. However, the Junior Welterweight Title is not vacate as of today.


Collazo 26, stopped Melvin Jerusalem in the 7th round on May 27th to capture the WBO Minimumweight Title. In just Collazo his 7th pro fight becomes the fastest Puerto Rican to win a world title. Collazo looks to return in August for his first title defense in Puerto Rico.
